The Special Training Centre of the E.R.U has the following capabilities:
To train the Unit members
To train Recruit Police Constables
To train members of other Police Divisions Departments/Services
To train and coordinate the Cyprus Police Hostage Negotiators
To train civilians on safety and security matters.
To train and evaluate the members of the Cyprus Police in terms of the operational use and handling of firearms.
To train Police members and civilians in scuba diving and lifesaving.
To train members of various governmental departments and services
