The Aliens and Immigration Unit is guided by its well defined mission in order to contribute to the coordinated efforts of Cyprus Police to provide quality services to the society. In this respect, a lot of attention is given to the effective cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, as well as with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, whose portfolio includes serious issues of immigration policy.
Furthermore, the Unit maintains constructive cooperation with the competent Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Civil Registry and Immigration Department, which in most cases defines policies, practices and procedures in the field of migration. At the same time, co-operation with independent bodies as well as with European Institutions / Committees, Non-Governmental Organizations and Departments / Services / Directorates / Police Units is recorded.
