The area for which Morfou Police Division is responsible changed with the Turkish invasion of 1974. With the addition of the area of Tylleria and six Limassol District villages, the Division is now responsible for an area of 1000sqkm which includes 41 villages of a total population of 13,180 - according to the census of 2001.

It should be noted that this number increases in the summer because of tourism and the return of town residents to their villages of origin. According to the census of 2001 only 4,616 dwellings out of 8,682 are inhabited throughout the year while the remaining 4,832 are used periodically or for vocations only.

The Division is responsible for policing three Medieval Museums and Churches of great significance – quite a few of which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Kykkos Monastery is also included in the area of the Division.

Other sites, areas and buildings policed by the Division include water dams, government buildings, telecommunication installations, military installations, shooting ranges, the tourist areas of Kakopetria and Pedoula, 60 km of buffer zone and a large part of Troodos and Paphos forests.

The road network of the division includes:
- Nicosia – Troodos Rd (from Astromeritis to Karvounas)
- Atsas – Marathasa Rd
- Orkonta – Kambos – Kykkos Rd
- Pedoulas – Kykkos Rd
