Training seminars for Bank Cashiers on Counterfeit Currency.

Due to Ministerial Council Decisions in compliance with the European Council Regulations 1338/01and 1339/01 for the protection of the Euro against counterfeiting and the Geneva Convention 1929 for the suppression of counterfeiting, the following Centres were established under the Forensic Laboratory.

• National Analysis Centre (NAC) for Euro Banknotes
• Coin National Analysis Centre (CNAC) for Euro Coins
• National Central Office (NCO) for Counterfeiting

The Forensic Laboratory communicates and co-operates with the following organizations regarding matters related to its duties:

• European Network of Forensic Science Institutes
