This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application “112 Cyprus” (referred to as Application) collects, uses and discloses information, and what choices you have with respect to the information.

Data to be collected:

Upon instalment, the Application may receive Customer Data such as the following:

- First and last name, Gender and Date of Birth.

- Phone number

- Current / Permanent address - City, Street, Number, Post-code and additional information related to your address

- Health conditions (e.g. hearing, speech problems etc.)

- Current location of the user or indicated location by the user on the map

Collection, Processing and Retention of data:

The data and information will be collected directly by you the moment that the application is installed on your mobile phone. The data and information that will be collected will be retained only on your mobile phone where the Application is installed and will be sent to the Cyprus Police Data Center for Emergency 112 Calls (referred to as Data Center) in order to be stored and linked with your call if you decide to call in the case of an emergency.

The Application will use the data and information according to user consent policy which is configured in the “Consent setting”. Here the user can specify whether the information will be sent by default to the Cyprus Police Data Center or whether his/her consent will be needed each time a call is made through the application. (Here the user can specify whether the information is sent by default to the Data Centre or needs consent each time a call is made to Cyprus 112.)

(The Application sends the information after you press the “Call button” and the call to the 112 Emergency Number in the Republic of Cyprus is started.) After you press the “Call button” the Application will send the information and the call, activating the 112 European Emergency Number in the Republic of Cyprus. Be aware that the information is sent even if you decide to interrupt the call shortly after the beginning.

Rights of the Data Subject:

With regards to your personal data, you have the following rights:

• the right to access

• the right to rectification

• the right to erasure

• the right to restriction of processing

• the right to object to processing.

Additionally, you have the right to withdraw your consent for the processing of personal data that relate to you, at any time, by deleting the application from your mobile phone, without however rendering unlawful the processing which was conducted on the basis of your consent given prior to its withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority (the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection).
