The Cyprus Police Academy aims at the quality assurance of the provided training of the members of the Police and stresses its commitment to continually improve and upgrade the services it offers, according to the European Standards and Guidelines of the European Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, as well as the directives of the Cyprus Agency for the Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA). For this purpose, the Academy has adopted a Complaints Policy according to which citizens, trainees and personnel of the CPA or other members of the Police may file such a complaint, relating to training, administrative or other issues which concern the services provided by the CPA and safeguard the rights of the trainees.

Citizens wishing to file a relevant complain may do so via a signed letter or email, to the Chief of Police (for the Director of the Cyprus Police Academy) marked CONFIDENTIAL.

Trainees and personnel of the CPA may file any complaint in accordance with the procedures as provided by the Police Disciplinary Regulations (Articles 5(1),5(2),6,7), the Police General Regulations (Article 44) and Orders 1/19, 1/10, 3/5, 5/5 of the Director of the CPA.

Complaints that cannot not be handled at the level of the Police Academy are forwarded to the relevant Assistant Chief of Police or/and to the Chief of Police, for instructions regarding its handling.

All complaints are handled in a confidential manner, based on the need-to-know basis, and are regulated by the provisions of the law on the protection of persons the processing and circulation of personal data.
