European Union & International Relations Sub-Directorate - Coordinations Office of E.U. Representations

The Coordinating Office of E.U. Representations has the responsibility for the coordination and monitoring of the representation of the Cyprus Police in the various Working Groups / Committees of the Council of the European Union, the European Commission and other European Institutions and Networks, in which the Police participates or is involved.

In particular:

• It deals with the coordination and the monitoring of the representing of the Cyprus Police, at the working parties and Committees of the Council of the E.U. and the European Commission.
• Collects and studies the reports of the police representatives in the above mentioned groups and committees and promotes the implementation of the necessary actions and obligations deriving from EU policies.
• It updates the involved ministries and seeks for political guidance when necessary.
• It organizes decision-making meetings, involving various Government Services and / or other Police Departments.
• It prepares information notes on E.U. issues, when needed.
• It closely cooperates with the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Cyprus to the European Union, on matters concerning the Police and provides relevant information / assistance where appropriate.
