European Union & International Relations Sub-Directorate - European Union and International Relations Office

The European Union and International Relations Office, assists the various Police Services / Offices / Branches in their work in order to achieve the effective implementation of the European Acquis matters relating to the Police, including the Schengen Acquis. It also assists in the development and promotion of international and European relations, through existing bilateral and international agreements.

The European Union and International Relations Office shall undertake, among others, the following:

• Coordination and exchange of visits between Cyprus Police and other police forces.
• Preparation of briefing notes for the Leadership of the Police in connection with the work being done on EU issues and International Relations.
• Participation in meetings in Cyprus and abroad, on issues of EU and international organizations.
• Handling of issues under the European Green Line Regulation (EC) 866/2004.
