The Welfare and Housing Office is responsible for preparing the budget for police expenses, for planning and monitoring the construction of new buildings as well as for the maintenance of existing facilities. It also supervises the proper utilization of funds provided for in the budget.
Moreover, the Office deals with the management of police housing, as well as the inspection of houses for the purpose of granting rent allowance to police members.
