School for Sergeants and Constables
The School for Sergeants and Constables is responsible for the implementation of the Supervisory Management Course for Sergeants, the further-training courses for Constables, as well as the Training Programme for Police Recruits and Recruit Special Police Constables. The School also organises basic training programmes in Crime Investigation (CID courses), Traffic as well as other specialised programmes.
School for Fire Service Recruits
The mission of the School for Fire Service Recruits is to develop the skills of the Fire Service Recruits through the provision of specialised knowledge on firefighting, as well as to provide continual training to them which aims at giving them the opportunity, by the means of realistic conditions, to become familiar with the firefighting equipment of the Service, as well as to deal with the difficult conditions they will encounter in the case of serious incidents.
Officers’ School
The Officers’ School is charged with the training of Officers principally in management issues. Additionally, the School organises specialised seminars and workshops for all ranks of the police according to the needs of the Service, such as the Training the Trainers Programme and the Crime Detection and Investigation course at a senior level (the advanced C.I.D. Course). Besides these, the Officers’ School undertakes the organisation of training programmes for police members of other countries as well as of programmes for Officers of Cyprus Police which are offered by foreign services / diplomatic missions.
School of Foreign Languages
The School of Foreign Languages is responsible for organising and running language courses with the aim of developing the language skills of the participants in foreign languages. The foreign language courses are organised and designed according to the current needs of the Service. Specifically, so far, the school has organised courses in the French, German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Russian and Arabic languages. In addition, the School of Foreign Languages organises, from time to time, refresher language courses. Furthermore, it facilitates and supervises the participation of Cyprus Police members in foreign language and information technology courses run by the State Institutes.
