Road Safety Park

The Road Safety Park is located near Police Headquarters and covers an area of approximately15.000 sq.m. It includes both an indoor lecture room but also the simulation of an urban road network.

Kindergarten children and students from primary schools, gymnasiums and high schools from all over Cyprus, as well as members of other organised groups of various ages visit the Road Safety Park, where they receive relevant training and information about road safety by specially trained police personnel. Children also acquire practical skills as pedestrians and cyclists through the use of small cars with pedals, or bicycles, depending on their age.

The aim is to improve the children’s knowledge and skills on issues of road safety. Τhe Park was open to the public, for the first time, on 17/09/2004 and more than 14.000 people, on average, visit it every year.
