The Criminal Investigation Department is responsible to record and investigate all serious crimes committed in Lemesos, except those committed in rural areas which are investigated by local Police Stations with the guidance and supervision of C.I.D.
Some of the crimes that are investigated by CID are:
• Murder and manslaughter
• Attempt Murder
• Wanted and Missing persons
• Arson
• Burglary
• Theft
• Grievous bodily harm
