Juvenile Deliquency Office

The duties of the Office include the effective enforcement of the relevant legislation and promoting preventive and repressive measures. To this end, the Office maintains close cooperation with the investigating officers as well as with the relevant and involved agencies.

The Office promotes the organization of educational seminars in close cooperation with the Cyprus Police Academy, aiming at staffing all police station with trained and qaulfied personnel to handle cases of such nature. Furthermore, it participates in lectures and events for the further enlightenment of the public on issues involving juvenile delinquency.

The Office review criminal files concerning cases which involve juvenile offenders, and expresses opinions as to their further process. It also maintains a relevant database.
