The mission of the Directorate is to police the airports of the Republic of Cyprus. In addition to that, the Directorate has a more extensive role as its mission also covers a wider range of airport security and control issues, focusing on the prevention of and response to crises situations, terrorist attacks and any threads to civil aviation. Furthermore, the members of the Directorate also aim to help people using the airports.
