Cyprus Police Academy Library

The library of the Cyprus Police Academy was set up and began operating almost at the same time that the Cyprus Police Training School was established. Initially it served the needs of recruit police constables and the police training staff. At the first stages of its operation, it contained government publications especially publications relating to Law, as well as official publications of the Cyprus Police (Police Ordinances and the Police Gazette). With the passing of time, and especially since 1990, when the Training School was upgraded to a Police Academy and was recognized as a Tertiary Educational Institution, the library was upgraded and enriched to the point that currently it is a modern library, housed within the premises of the Cyprus Police Academy.
